Salma Hayek Breast Feeds African Babies!
Now, I don't use disposable diapers, and haven't vaccinated my kids, but I think that what Pampers is doing here is great. I especially love the end of the video, from 5:15 on, when they talk about breastfeeding.
Would you breastfeed someone else's child? I absolutely would. I have even thought about going to a developing country to help women breastfeed. One of my many secret dreams...

yeah that is really cool...I think I would breastfeed another baby, but don't like the idea of my baby getting fed by another if that makes sense. ha.
why don't you vaccinate your kids? doesn't it help them? leto has missed vaccinations since his 15 month ones he needed and micah only had one vaccine at birth and is due for more but i have no health insurance for them to catch up. i was a very sickly child growing up, so to me i want them vaccinated and feel horrible that they are behind.
that's nice of selma hayek. I don't think I could do that, but I am glad that people do.
The main reason I don't vaccinate at this point is because of all of the toxins in the vaccines. The long-term effects have never been studied, and vaccines can be released with only 6 months of "testing", which is not sufficient for me. I think every parent has to weigh the risks and benefits of vaccines before allowing them to be injected into our children. I honestly believe that the risk of my children being negatively affected by the vaccines outweighs the risk of my children getting the diseases that the vaccines are supposed to prevent. Vaccines are also not 100% effective, and the diseases that the vaccines are supposed to prevent were already in decline before the vaccines came out due to simple advances in hygiene and nutrition. Also, most vaccines are only good for a certain amount of years. For example, the hepatitis shot that is given at birth is effective for 7 years, and I think it's a bit much since hep is mostly a STD. And the new "cervical cancer" vaccine, give me a break. I can understand some of the vaccines (like meningitis), but I think that kids today are offered WAY too many that are unnecessary (chicken pox, flu, etc). I think it is deceitful that the medical industry would have us to believe that these injections will make our kids so much healthier, and use manipulative tactics and legislation to push them on people. There is a lot of money made from the vaccines, which is why I believe they are pushed so hard. I believe that vaccines ARE a great tool, when they are relevant to a person's environment. If we were going to Africa, I would probably get us all several shots first. But here, my kids are very healthy and I don't think the slight risk of infection is worth shooting them up with toxins. I also have some moral issues with how some vaccines are made (with fetuses, not to mention they were originally developed and tested on Jews in WW2). But, I think we all as parents have the right and responsibility to make an informed choice for our children, and I respect everyone's choice.
I have been meaning to post on this topic, but I just haven't had the time yet to pull all my facts and research together...
